Green Cheek Conures

Green Cheek Conures make great companions! They are a perfect size from9" - 10" including their long beautiful tail. They are suitable for most homes. They are 'Pyrrhura' conures which are different than the 'Aratinga' conures which are well-known for being rather loud. Green Cheek Conures are much quieter.

Green Cheek Conures can learn to talk and mimic and they sound really funny when they do. Their speech is a little squeaky and it is comical to say the least. Several owners of Green Cheek Conures will tell you the Green Cheeks have tremendous attitude! They know what they want and they know how to get it. *LOL*

They are a very clean bird and do not have the same 'dust' that Cockatiels, Greys or Cockatoos have. They LOVE bathing and will do it every day if you give a suitable dish.

But they not as clean with their food how ever and love to dunk their foods in their water. This habit makes it very important that you give clean water several times a day

There is many Mutations of the Normal Green Cheek Conures.

The mutation birds are just the same as the normal Green Cheek Conure in every way except color.

Regardless of the mutation you choose you will have a playful little bird with an abundance of attitude.And so easy to care for but do require lots of toys and activities to keep them busy and happy. And you will find a very intelligent and curious bird.

They like fruits veggies and pastas. Cereals may be shared many of them like Cheerios... And many other foods. I don't think I have found any food that the Green Cheeks would turn away from *LOL*

DIET: Pellets, some seed fruits and veggies cooked rice and sprouts

Housing: a 20x20x20 mim cage works great alone with daily exercise
